Diagnostics: Diagnosis of bladder and pelvic floor problems
To ensure your bladder or pelvic floor problem is treated properly, it's vital that you are given the correct diagnosis.
Urodynamic Study - accurate assessment of your problem
The only way to gain the correct diagnosis for bladder problems and pelvic floor problems is through a Urodynamic Study.
The doctors and nurses at Sydney Urodynamic Centres are all specialists in this area and will provide you with the best possible care and professional attention.
How does the Urodynamic Study work?
The urodynamic system is a computer based application that measures all the important functions of the bladder including urine flow rate as well as muscular and nervous control.
During the study:
- your bladder is filled with sterile fluid
- your bladder activity is monitored during this process
- a recording then interpreted by the doctor, in conjunction with your relevant medical history.
- a confidential and comprehensive report is then sent to your referring doctor
- your doctor will then organise management of your condition.
