How does the Urodynamic Study work?

The urodynamic system is a computer based application that measures all the important functions of the bladder including urine flow rate as well as muscular and nervous control.

During the study:

  • your bladder is filled with sterile fluid
  • your bladder activity is monitored during this process
  • a recording then interpreted by the doctor, in conjunction with your relevant medical history.
  • a confidential and comprehensive report is then sent to your referring doctor
  • your doctor will then organise management of your condition.
