Urinary incontinence, or loss of bladder control, is an unpleasant, distressing and often embarrassing condition affecting over 50% of all women at some stage during their lifetime. While to many it may seem to be a nuisance only, the problem often worsens over time, and for many seriously affects their quality of life.
Sydney Urodynamic Centres has been providing the women of New South Wales and their doctors with a comprehensive urodynamic service for over 15 years.
We are able to scientifically assess female urinary incontinence and lower urinary tract dysfunction, provide an accurate diagnosis to the referring doctor, and advise on clinical management.
The service is run by three urogynaecologists, trained and accredited in this subspecialty by the RANZCOG. These partners are assisted by a group of highly trained nurses who are adept at making the experience more pleasant for the women.
One in four women of all ages suffer from urinary incontinence, but early diagnosis and appropriate management can be expected to free many from this problem.
